All the responsibilities we will trust you with
Work closely with our operations, manufacturing, and engineering teams to analyze costs, establish annual budgets and monthly forecasts for both spending and inventories.
Develop new product costs and work closely with the manufacturing plant controller in the development of the annual standard cost revisions.
Analyze and review Cost of Goods sold including Cost Center analysis, variance analysis and forecasts for all categories of cost of sales.
Establish intercompany transfer prices for new products and refresh existing transfer prices as needed.
Review monthly the inventory reserves to maintain the proper reserve levels.
Work with the accounting shared services team to provide required monthly journal entries and support to ensure a timely month end close process.
Recommend and direct changes in operating procedures for cost reporting and efficiencies.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
Three to five years of experience as a cost analyst in finance or related field.
Good understanding of enterprise systems
Experience in developing standard product costs and investigating variances from those standards to provide the organization with the results of cost improvement activities and identify the areas where countermeasures are needed to control costs.
Experience working with other corporate functions (Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality etc).
Excellent Accounting and Financial Analysis skills.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field.
