We are looking for a CMO & OEM Operations Director to Performance manage Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO’s) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) serving the Cytiva Discovery and Medical customer base across the dimensions of SQDIP.
This role must be in commutable distance of a UK Cytiva facility, with a preference for our Discovery and Medical sites (Cardiff or Newquay).
What you’ll do
Develop and implement KPI's, Bowlers and a regular cadence of operating reviews with tangible actions to ensure SQDIP levels of performance of maintained and continually improved for the benefit of all parties. Use data to demonstrate priority of actions to optimize operational performance within key CMO & OEM suppliers.
Work collaboratively with all key CMO & OEM suppliers to reduce supply risk, removing single and sole sources of supply, reduce lead time, maximize availability of AOS lines through the optimization of available capacity.
Identify and deploy appropriate Danaher Business System tools & techniques on supplier products and processes to drive tangible operational benefit.
Engage in, and form the bridge between Supply Chain, Product Management and Strategic Procurement to provide S&OP outlook and performance expectations to CMO& OEM suppliers.
Develop & publish frequent operational performance updates to D&M leadership.
Identify and execute inventory and freight optimization programmes to enable YOY turns improvements through preferential stock holding agreements for Cytiva CMO & OEM supplied lines, including negotiation of freight terms, switching to DHR preferred freight partners, use of 3PL etc.
Work cross-functionally with OpCo and Business Unit leadership, Product Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain and Operations in identifying and recommending the need for CMO & OEM supplier exit / grow / transfer due to operational performance, capacity, commercial advantage, NPI, product life cycle etc. Lead any initiative resulting with CMO & OEM suppliers.
Identify and prepare for approval any CapEx / OpEx investment needs to optimize operational performance of key CMO & OEM suppliers.
Develop a strategic roadmap to recommend OEM & CMO proposed actions across a minimum 36 month horizon.
Who you are
Bachelor's degree in relevant Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, Chemistry, or equivalent years of experience.
Seven years of progressive Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Unit or Continuous Improvement leadership in Life Sciences industry, including two year's leadership experience.
Solid problem-solving skills- ability to resolve complex problems, communicate issues and propose solutions to both external customers and internal team members.
High level presentation and interpersonal skills- able to communicate and present ideas to customers in a way that produces understanding and impact that builds effective strategic relationships.
Ability to operate effectively in a multi-tasking, dynamic environment, while maintaining a forward-thinking and customer-first attitude.
Ability to energize, develop and build rapport, collaborate and influence at all levels within an organization. Act as inspirational leader with optimism, highly approachable and humble. Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
