Pall have an exciting opportunity to support environmental compliance and sustainability / ESG initiatives associated with Media Capacity expansion with focus on community impacts, water, energy and waste management. This role will also serve as a seed hire for the global sustainability function OTA white space in 3 - 5 years.
Main duties:• Approach media capacity expansion EHS projects through a Danaher Business System lens including use of visual project management, problem solving, energy, waste, and water management, and other DBS tools.• Monitor, forecast and communicate environmental and sustainability costs at the project level.• Identify and obtain applicable permits and manage as required in the Environmental Management System (EMS).• Review and interpret environmental and civil specifications and drawings.• Understand national and local regulations and review requirements.• Prepare site specific plans and submit required reports.• Provide input to work plans and participate in meetings.• Communicate with architectural design and field crews to ensure understanding of project environmental requirements.• Conduct applicable environmental training and field inspections and identify environmental risks.• Coordinate project-wide environmental compliance and sustainability programs and strategies inthe project.• Maintain records of all requirements and monitor compliance tools.• Identify applicable environmental requirements and compliance risks at national and local levels for the project which may include: hazardous waste, air quality, storm water, spill plans, etc.• Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered; take corrective action as needed.
Knowledge & Key Skills Required:• Strong technical knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability best management practices.• Experience of implementing training programs.• Excellent communication and technical writing skills, ability to research and work with detailed/technical matters and convey/explain the information to field personnel.• Ability to work in Microsoft Office programs as well as able to quickly learn other software applications.• Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks with deadlines and potentially frequent interruptions.
Qualifications/Education and Experience:• Several years experience in construction projects, manufacturing, or sustainability projects preferably related to media & membrane manufacturing, medical device, pharmaceutical, or general life sciences industry.• Degree or equivalent in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Safety, Facilities Management or other engineering discipline.• Ability to travel including to international locations• Willingness to spend majority of time at project sites where the work gets done.
