Job Title: Service Engineer UK

Job Location: Midlands

Cepheid has an opening for a Field Service Engineer covering the Midlands. You will conduct service, repair and/or installation of products or IT solutions at the customer site, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts. Diagnoses system failures and figures out the most cost-effective solution. Escalate complex issues to a greater level of technical support or quality reporting system. May develop new customer service/product agreements. Respond to customer support calls within an assigned territory.

Essential job responsibilities:

  • Provide corrective and preventive maintenance in house & on site if required to support Cepheid Product line

  • Manage repair, installations and services on customers systems mainly in house.

  • Provide support on company instrumentation products.

  • Perform routine standard procedures to isolate and fix problems in equipment or software

  • Work closely with the Technical support team to address customer complaints to determine corrective action and customer follow-up

  • Document and report the company's product "design reliability" and "maintenance issues" and/or problems to technical support.

  • Achieve and exceed Customer Satisfaction key performance indicators

Education or Experience:

  • Degree Qualified

  • Full clean driving license
