The Marketing Analyst will report to the EMEA Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy). This marketing leader plays a key role in the success and growth of Cepheid’s marketing capabilities. This role interacts with management, marketing, global brand and sales

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Pull data from different sources (databases, marketing tools, survey results) and create meaningful ad hoc and ongoing reports to be communicated to the countries

  • Research client background, competitive landscape, and elaborate concise reports

  • Create and utilize structured customer insight processes to help identify unmet customer needs and new product/market opportunities in existing and new segments

  • Develop market models and size new market opportunities

  • Support go-direct projects through country or regional market assessment in collaboration with Regional Business Managers and Go-direct Project Leads

  • Provide guidance to interpret the data to take fact-based decisions

  • Help to automatize recurring reports

  • Work with large, complex data sets across multiple products/markets/channels

  • Build and prototype analysis pipelines to provide insights at scale

  • Present data findings verbally and graphically

    Requirements:

    Education or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field with 5+ years of related work experience OR

  • Master’s degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience OR

  • Doctoral degree in field with 0-2 years of related work experience

  • Previous experience in the field of Marketing / Data analytics / Business

    Knowledge and skills:

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Access, experience with VBA a plus

  • Possession of excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills

  • Experience with the Customer Relationship Management tool SFDC (database management, reporting)

  • Experience with Business Intelligence platforms such as QlikView, Tableau, or PowerBI

  • Ability to understand the details of a problem while at the same time understanding the strategic view

  • Ability to establish and meet deadlines, change direction when necessary and manage multiple projects at once

    Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of SQL preferred

  • Knowledge of SPSS, SAS, R, Python (or other statistical analysis and data mining packages)

  • Experience in In-Vitro-Diagnostic or Healthcare market is a plus
