The Imaging Sales Specialist for Cytiva is responsible for the sales of imaging products, working directly with customers in the field. You will become a technical expert with Cytiva’s range of laser scanners and cameras, and deliver compelling product demonstrations to grow sales. Working as part of a larger commercial team, you will have daily interaction with colleagues, including account managers and other specialists.

This position is part of the Protein Research commercial team and will be fully remote, covering Oxford, the Midlands, North UK, Scotland and Ireland.

What you will do:

  • Work with customers 70% of the time in the field. The customer base is life science customers working in the academic, biotech and pharma segments. Product responsibility is Cytiva’s Amersham™ Typhoon™ laser scanners, Amersham™ ImageQuant™ 800 camera systems and associated consumables.

  • Understand customers' goals, build strong business relationships, and formulate account strategies to generate effective long-term partnerships with accounts.

  • Working with a wider commercial team, generate new business opportunities to achieve sales targets. Responsibilities include providing customers with high level technical expertise during pre-sales discussions, product demonstrations, customer training, post-sales support, seminars and promotional events.

  • Develop sales opportunities to create a sales funnel to meet business targets. Manage leads and prospects using Salesforce Lightning customer relationship management software. Analyse sales data to help decision making and territory planning. Prepare and participate in business reviews to ensure accurate flow of information within the sales team and sales management.

  • Be able to present and discuss our technology, applications and benefits in terms which are relevant to customers. Be an ambassador for Cytiva, working with the highest levels of integrity and professionalism always.

Who you are:

  • University level degree in a Life Science related discipline and possibly PhD or higher qualification gained working in Life Science.

  • Possess knowledge of protein science including Western Blotting.

  • Ability to travel with 70% of time in the field.

  • Be able to communicate with a customer-centric mindset, to balance the needs of the customer and Cytiva.

  • Self-starter able to manage time to organize and prioritise workload, with tenacity managing sales prospects and closing business.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Field sales travel, regularly working with customers in the field.

  • Giving compelling technical seminars and/or product demonstrations, with the ability to communicate technical information to others in an easy-to-understand way.

  • Working in cross-functional teams.
