Danaher`s Water Quality Business is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including HACH, ChemTreat, and Trojan Technologies.

*POSITION SUMMARY: * Partner with Operations business leaders and associates to deliver HR services in a proactive and solution-oriented manner that is aligned with the business strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Serve as HR point of contact for all associate inquiries within the Ames facility. * Support HR Leadership in all phases of employee life cycle including, but not limited to: o Recruitment process o New manager on-boarding o Employment investigations o Ongoing manager and associate training and development o Benefits inquiries o Engagement o Performance management o Turnover * Collaboration with others to implement or improve and then adhere to HR processes. * General support to include delivering reports (turnover, staffing ratios, etc.), coordinate unemployment responses, manage parts of the recruiting process, support/manage parts for the on-boarding process. * Enter necessary employee data in appropriate HR systems in a timely manner. Create, maintain and ensure compliance of personnel files. Assist in creating, changing and maintaining job descriptions. * Ensure consistent application of policies/procedures including but not limited to recruiting, training, reward & recognition and associate development. * Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of experience in an HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience * Previous experience administering and applying FMLA, parental leave, short-term disability and ADA requirements * Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Possesses a problem-solving mindset. * Previous experience working in a metrics-driven culture Required competencies include: * Accuracy, thoroughness and strong attention to detail * Courage to be honest and tact to build relationships while doing so * Proven reliability and dependability * Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality * Highly organized; able to prioritize and work under pressure on several projects at the same time * Demonstrates high level of customer service skills and approachability * Receptive to coaching * Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate situations as needed * Strong collaboration skills (communication, tone, messaging, execution, planning, ownership) * Ability to facilitate on-site training's for associates and leaders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experienced in the use of continuous improvement tools (standard work, root cause analysis, voice of the customer, etc.) * Previous experience supporting manufacturing associates * PHR or SHRM-CP certification * Bilingual in English and Spanish
