We’re looking for a Transformational Change Communication Manager to join the Business Transformation team at Cepheid EMEA – one who understands the value of and knows how to communicate for maximum impact.

Reporting to the Senior Director Business Transformation, you’ll be responsible for our change communication, internal and executive communication as well as our general communication and other local communications activities. Essential job responsibilities:

  • Work and consult with leaders on large change projects, develop their communication strategies and help execute it

  • Manage, source and create content (be that articles, movies, podcasts or other) for Cepheid Connect (our intranet), help design our regular executive newsletter

  • Develop and drive internal awareness campaigns about Cepheid’s growth and transformation journey in support of our company Mission, Vision and Strategy

  • Build and implement an employee advocacy programme in support of Employee engagement.

  • Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form

  • Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization

  • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages

  • Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly

  • Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation

  • Advise senior executives of developments throughout the organization, either face to face or through regular written communication

Key requirements:

  • Academic educational background

  • At least 5 years experience in internal communications in a global organization, preferably combining Communication, Change and Transformation

  • Experience in communication around complex commercial /strategic initiatives and large-scale change management.

  • Proven experience in working with executives to develop communication strategies, plans and content

  • Proficient English is mandatory; other European languages is a plus (French, German, Dutch)

  • Adobe Photoshop/InDesign/Video-Pro-wizard, it’s a plus

  • Strong interpersonal, excellent verbal /written communication and presentation skills. Creative, high energy, “roll-up-their-sleeves” self-starter kind-of-gal/guy with a bias for action and a sense of urgency

  • Ability to achieve results in a large, global, matrix organization and to work cross departmentally to achieve goals

  • Ability to work well independently and exercise appropriate judgment under general direction. Ability to take direction from multiple sources and manage conflicting priorities in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to multi-task.

  • Embraces and adapts to change and demonstrates a willingness to learn.
