Danaher Corporation Associate Sales Engineer - Laser & Marking Sales *6 month training in Chicago required in Anaheim, California

We are seeking an Associate Sales Engineer Trainee who will report directly to the NA Sales Leader.
Relocation: This role will be required to temporarily relocate to Chicago, IL (near Videojet Technologies global headquarters in Wood Dale, IL) for 6 months during initial training and immersion in a lab and service environment. Assistance is provided to hires who must relocate more than 50 miles from their permanent address.
After the first 6 months of initial training in the lab, the Sales Engineer Trainee will be assigned a sales territory and will need to be based in Illinois, Indiana or California.
As a Sales Engineer Trainee, you will have the opportunity to learn about our business, key sales processes and tools and establish internal and external relationships while developing your professional skills and capabilities. You will receive training on core selling skills, learn about the industry, channels, and markets.

Potential experiences include:
As a trainee, you will learn how to operate a laser and gain expertise on materials and customer requirements
You will learn how to mark parts and products from various industries (medical, automotive, electronics, and many more)
After 6 months you will start your journey in the sales department, and learn all phases of our sales processes on the job
Your acquired knowledge in the marking laboratory will help you to meet technical customer requirements and support our sales staff in important projects
By accompanying our experienced sales engineers on customer visits, you will gain valuable knowledge about our target markets and customers
After successful training in sales, you will have the opportunity to manage customers and projects independently within an assigned territory
You will learn important tools, like funnel management and Problem-Solving Process for your long-term success at Danaher
Your Education and/or Background Experience will include:
Bachelor’s degree/technical diploma in engineering, business or related technical field
1-2 years outside sales experience in electronics or capital equipment is helpful, but not required
High level of initiative, independence and willingness to develop. High degree of ambition and success orientation
Continuous improvement mindset
Willingness to relocate and travel in the 2nd year
