HemoCue is strengthening its clinical and medical organization and therefore looking for a Director Clinical & Medical Affairs. The Director Clinical & Medical Affairs will be responsible for driving the overall clinical and scientific strategy, improve processes that help driving the clinical strategy, and lead a team of about 10 - 15 people whereof 2 are direct reports, and one is a manager.

This position is part of the R&D leadership team, hence reporting to Sr. Director of R&D. Your team is involved in new product development as well as sustainment engineering of our current portfolio. The Clinical & Medical Affairs function is based in Ängelholm, Sweden and the position will be on-site. At HemoCue, our vision is to do things easier, to do things better, and to do them right.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Strategical planning of clinical evidence in accordance with HemoCue’s overall strategy

  • Provide strategic and tactical direction to support timely development and execution of R&D and commercial projects

  • Strategic work focus on new products & new clinical segments

  • Medical insight and relevance for business development

  • Individual development of your team members, competence mapping and setting the team strategy

  • Contribute to general R&D strategy as part of the R&D leadership team

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Degree within health/life sciences, for example in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biochemistry or similar, preferably a medical medical degree (MD)

  • Demonstrated people management and leadership skills and experience

  • Experience from regulatory standards, FDA, QSR and design control

  • Experience from running clinical testing, collaboration with CRO and/or from Medical Affairs

We are looking for an individual who has the ability to prioritize and distinguish between short term and long term goals. You should have a proactive approach and team work ability is central to success.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 20-25% during specific projects or initiatives
