The Groundwater Remediation Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the groundwater remediation equipment and advanced oxidation process (AOP). You will have the opportunity to support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce usage and normalize the cost of utilities to meet corporate sustainability goals. You will collect groundwater samples, conduct routine water testing, and assist in the operation of groundwater remediation systems. This position is part of the Global EHS & Sustainability team and will be located onsite in Ann Arbor.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Monitor utility (electricity, water, sewer, natural gas, telecom) and ground water treatment services, raw usage, rate, and normalized for production usage to identify patterns and areas to target for improvement initiatives.
Assist support of production equipment and facility infrastructure, maintenance and troubleshooting of facility and lab equipment and systems, and process quality improvements.
Monitor, analyze, and improve facility infrastructure using internal and external engineering resources to reduce operating expenses, facilitate growth, and minimize downtime.
The essential requirements of the job include:
2+ years experience working with wastewater, plumbing and piping systems, pumps, motors
2+ years experience of Chemical knowledge (SDS, Hazcomm, RCRA,DOT, PPE and Hazwoper)
Valid Driver’s License and ability to work in a shared on-call environment.
Ability to support after hours on-call on a rotating basis, limited support needed historically.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Wastewater operator’s certification preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot data issues and communicate effectively to the business.
Ability to work in a self-directed, successfully organize/prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects, assist with Daily Management key indicators, contractors, and project management.
