Danaher Corporation Shipping & Receiving Supervisor (1st Shift) in Ashland, Virginia

We are expanding our team and looking to hire a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor (first shift) to work in our chemical (batch processing) manufacturing plant in Ashland, VA. This candidate will get to work great hours on Mon-Fri from 6am – 2:30pm. This role oversees the shipping process and directly manages a staff of about 4 operators. We are seeking a leader who is focused on managing and executing on daily work and will be accountable for the results.   • Responsible for the Day to Day operations of Shipping and Receiving teams

  • Schedule and prioritize shift’s workload and provide direction to staff to ensure efficient operations.

  • Ensure that all shipments meet ChemTreat’s specifications and DOT requirements.

  • Maintain inventories for raw materials and finished good items

  • Perform all the duties for all positions within the department, as necessary.

  • Maintain and complete appropriate forms, logs, etc. and complete appropriate data entry in computer system.

  • Maintain environmental, health and safety documentation as it relates to EPA compliance, OSHA requirements, and Chemtreat, Inc. policies and procedures.

  • Follow appropriate EHS procedures and policy which may include the identification and proper handling of hazardous waste and file incident reports for work related incidents and near misses.

  • Conduct training as specified under ChemTreat’s ISO-9000 program.


  • Previous management/supervisory experience with effective communication and good interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in inventory management, forklift operation

  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and basic mathematics.

  • Microsoft Office, and CRT/data entry.


  • GED or High School Diploma. Associate Degree/ Bachelors Degree preferred

  • CDL preferred but not required.
