Description
Under the guidance of the National Sales Director, as the Regional Sales Manager, you will provide strategic direction and support for a team of Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) for assigned brands and products. Equally, you will provide support and guidance for your TSM’s through coaching and mentoring to positively influence TSM selling behavior. You will play a key role in leading the regional sales funnel and have the ability to influence cross-regional programs and initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Ensure consistent achievement of annual regional sales quota by developing and driving performance objectives, key performance indicators, and countermeasures * Collaborate closely with sales peers, dealers, end-users, sales leadership staff and other functional departments to eliminate selling roadblocks, ensure alignment and awareness of business conditions, process improvements, and unmet end-user needs. * Lead and develop organizational talent to position the organization for growth and succession planning * Build and cultivate strategic relationships with sales channel through regular participation in events, travel to customers, sales ride-alongs, etc. * Drive increased sales force effectiveness by ensuring TSM discipline around effective use of the I.M.P.A.C.T Selling System. * Utilize tools such as funnel management and Customer Relationship Managements systems to guide TSM performance and eliminate TSM Silos * Ensure TSM engagement, organic growth and alignment of territory priorities through utilization of sales and market share data. * Focus Territory Sales Managers around Voice of Customer Initiatives to drive a customer centric organization. * Actively ensure increasing mindshare of sales channel through creative sales and marketing efforts such as: product offerings, promotions, campaigns, and training

Education or experience: * Bachelor’s Degree * 5 years’ experience in sales management or * 3 years’ in a customer facing role within the dental industry and 2 years in a people leadership role Required competencies: * Teamwork – Ability to lead a team or teams of employees from multiple disciplines and/or companies * Ability to influence others – Ability to inform, convince, and persuade others to action on key initiatives * Results orientation – Ability to consistently deliver expected results * Danaher Business System Mindset – Drives change successfully, lives “continuous improvement” philosophy * Commercial excellence – Possess the skills necessary to grow market share * Communication—Effective communicator (written & verbal) as well as strong facilitation skills * Talent Development – Consistent track record of selecting and developing talent * Global Thinking – Ability to understand different cultures and market needs
