We are currently seeking a Medical and Scientific Affairs Manager who will be responsible for supporting our global Medical and Scientific Affairs team. This position serves as the principal interface between the business and stakeholders in the global scientific community, including key experts and customers in clinical and research laboratories, professional societies, government agencies, advocacy groups, and other customers/market influencers. Additionally, this position supports a broad range of internal cross-functional activities, working closely with following functions: marketing, sales, research & development, clinical affairs, and regulatory affairs.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and drive Medical & Scientific Affairs initiatives to support the company’s global strategic goals.

  • Assist in new product development as a core team member and generate scientific awareness of Beckman Coulter Life Sciences products pre- and post- launch.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers and experts and coordinate collaborations with academic partners and other outside institutions.

  • Anticipate and evaluate market drivers, including regulatory and reimbursement policies as well as changing practice guidelines.

  • Present data on scientific trends, product performance or other relevant materials at national and international meetings to increase portfolio visibility.

The required qualifications for the job include:

  • MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degree

  • 5+ years of experience in clinical or translational medicine (hospital, university hospital, teaching hospital)

  • Strong knowledge in genomic medicine.

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial design and interpretation of clinical and scientific data

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Pharmaceutical industry and therapeutic drug development

  • Academia/Industry partnership management

  • Market access research understanding

The salary range for this role is $107-160K per year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
