We are extending our IT Team at our location in Bad Kreuznach and looking for an IT 1st & 2nd Level Support (f/m/d).

Summary of the Role:

The Global Infra IT Analyst deploys and supports hardware, network and telecommunications projects for the organization. Provides support for routers, switches, firewalls, VPN’s and IP telephony, systems, servers, and other infrastructure equipment (hardware). Develops and implements and supports network security policies, and safeguards. Ensures the IT infrastructure supports the development of the business and structural changes by assessing future needs and proposing changes and enhancements where necessary.

Main Duties:

  • Provide user and administrative support for desktop and local server systems

  • Provide technical guidance to users and management for desktop support and local server systems

  • Participate in projects or teams directed by the Manager/Supervisor

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of all relevant hardware and software

  • Implementation and support of network operating systems and services

  • Configuration, installation & deployment of all PC’s and PC related peripherals

  • Maintain appropriate data backup and disaster recovery procedures.

  • Develop a working knowledge of department specific applications.

  • Support project implementations and roll-outs

  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service, efficiency and effectiveness

  • Log into and use telephone and computer based Service Desk system to record all support activities

  • Contribute to meeting the departmental key performance indicators

  • Execute, support and control IT Purchasing / Asset Management

  • Maintain relevant Standard Work procedures and reporting

  • 1st / 2nd level Customer Helpdesk support

  • On-Site support of three Pall locations at Bad Kreuznach

Position Competencies:

  • Excellent knowledge of PC hardware and associated peripherals.

  • Excellent knowledge of network hardware and management tools.

  • Excellent knowledge of Windows network operating systems and applications.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft O/S, Server and Desktop

  • Excellent knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP & TCP/IP.

  • Good knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructures (Cisco)

  • Ability to use technical documentation and diagnostic tools to solve hardware and software problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, parallel projects.

  • Ability to perform risk assessments.

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Up-to-date professional certification would be a plus.

  • Candidate must own valid drivers-license (class-B)

  • Experience of desktop support.

  • Experience of network applications / operating systems / hardware.

  • LAN / WAN fostering measures.

  • Good Team-Player

  • First experiences in leading employees would be a plus.

  • Valid drivers-license (class-B) and work permit

  • Good written and verbal communication and reporting skills in German / English
