The role is best suits for you, if you are eager to use your knowledge and expertise in empowering researchers and/or scientists of tomorrow, who are currently working with mass spectrometry technologies in Biopharma and Biologics.

The Application Support Scientist is responsible for following:

• Strategically planning and execution of sample analysis using Sciex Separations equipment(s). .

• Plan and deliver training courses, provide phone, web and in-lab technical support to researchers in the field of Biopharma and biologics alongside monitoring customer satisfaction through regular contact with key accounts.

• Pre-sales demonstration of Sciex Separations instruments and related workflows.

• Prepare and/or deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations at scientific conferences

• Conduct and deliver regular trainings/refreshers for sales and service teams and Coach junior members of the team.

This position is field-based and part of the Sciex Application team and will be located in India (Bangalore). and will be responsible for supporting the Biopharma growth of the Sciex Separations business in the region.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Generate technical content on Therapeutic Peptide, Protein Chemistry, Therapeutic Oligonucleotides; mAb Characterisations etc… using Sciex LC-MS platform

• Pre-sales demonstration of Sciex Separations instruments and workflows. This will include working with sales teams on the qualification of customers/sales strategy, the development of LC-MS based analytical methods and generation of demonstration reports

• Deliver high quality support to users to drive customer satisfaction, leading to development, nurturing and retention of key customer base.

• Conduct and deliver training courses /refreshers learning session to our customers

• Prepare and/or deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations at scientific conferences

The essential requirements of the job include:

• M. Sc in Biotechnology/Biochemistry (> 8 year of industry experience) / Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Biochemistry (>4 years of experience)

• 4-8 years of relevant experience in BioPharma Specialization. Experience in the area of Therapeutic Peptide, Protein Chemistry, Therapeutic Oligonucleotides; mAb Characterisations using LC-MS platform research shall be preferred.

• In-depth understanding of analytical techniques in research, specific to Liquid Chromatography tandem mass spectrometry. Preferable to have hands on experience related to other instrumentation and techniques in LC-MS workflows

• Highest levels of personal and professional integrity and ethics with good verbal and written English language communication skills.

• Proven experience of teaching or training the use of separations sciences equipment

  Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• As this is field-based Job based out of Bangalore (India) and support to be extended majorly to BioPharma customer across India. The role demands about 50% of travel within India.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Proven experience of teaching or training the use of separations sciences equipment.
