What you’ll do
Join the Cytiva Engineering team, India as Engineering Manager
Lead and execute the Instrument development programs, Product care programs and Strategic projects. Responsibility includes people management, design of subsystems/systems, verification and validation efforts at part, subsystem and system level, author worldwide technology and product plan, drive strategic projects and act as a single point of contact with the global design teams, regulatory and testing agencies
Organize design reviews
Initiate new projects and secure budgets
Drive rigor in the development of products
Further develop the core capabilities of the team by developing training and career plans for the team, identifying and filling gaps in expertise, and expanding the technical career bench strength
Drive strategic collaboration with Global Supply Chain Management (Sourcing & Manufacturing) to ensure quality components while ensuring product cost-out activities
Ensuring compliance with Design History File (DHF) and other QMS requirements
Managing quality objectives, regulatory requirements, schedules, and program risks and making decisions based on business objectives
Resource assignment and prioritization, including headcount and base cost budget
Support project proposal development including scope definition, configuration, implementation, tracking and control of projects
Develop scope-of-work specifications including those of contractors / subcontractors where appropriate
Establish contacts and drive collaborative efforts with academia and customers
Lead multi-disciplinary project team including coaching and technical direction to meet project deliverables
Masters / BE in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Systems Engineering
A minimum of 14-18 years industrial experience in leading multi skilled teams involving product development from concept to production. Proven track record of driving milestone closures on product development and product care activities. Minimum of 2 years required in Functional Management/Team Lead role
Proven expertise in understanding the entire product development process involving ISO & regulatory requirements
In depth knowledge of Systems Engineering, Emerging Technology trends especially in the AI/Digital area and good knowledge of Life Sciences industry
Exposure to working in global environment with cross functional teams
In-depth understanding of the various manufacturing process and experience in working with vendors for NPI’s and VE projects
Who you are
Good understanding of quality and reliability testing at a system level
Experience in design documentation to comply with ISO and European standards
Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets
Ability to work in a global matrix leadership environment
Proven ability of conflict resolution among cross functional teams in a matrix environment
Good influencing skills
Proven People Management skills
In depth understanding of Systems Engineering and emerging technology trends
Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills. Must be a self-starter
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills, including critical path project scheduling.
Self-starter with high degree of initiative
Ability to clearly communicate technical and organizational information
Adept at team building and influencing cross-functional team members without direct authority
Strong analytical skills with ability to identify critical issues
