This position is for Cepheid team located at Danaher India Development Center (IDC), Bangalore
IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet and Cepheid.
The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly talented software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.
The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility, measuring 120 K Sqft.

Working as a part of the Information Security function, the primary role of the Infosec Cloud Security Architect is to secure company assets by:
determining security policy requirements and preparing security standards, policies, and procedures for cloud deployments
planning, architecting, implementing, and testing cloud-based security systems
working with infrastructure and server teams across a global infrastructure to advise on and deploy secure solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Determine security requirements of cloud-based tools by evaluating business strategies and requirements, by researching information security standards, conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments, by studying the architecture of the company’s various platforms, by identifying integration issues, and by preparing cost estimates.
Plan and architect security systems by evaluating existing network and security technologies, develops requirements for cloud infrastructure, virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; works with public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software adhering to industry standards.
Implement security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment by directing equipment and software installation and calibration to prepare preventive and reactive measures, providing technical support and completing documentation.
Verify the efficacy of deployed cloud security systems by developing and implementing test scripts.
Supervises and approves cloud architecture, provides a security view point early in the design process to ensure compliance with policy and best practices.
Maintain security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs.
Upgrade security systems by monitoring security publications and news, by monitoring the security environment; Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements
Prepare system security reports for both technical and non-technical audiences by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
Update job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Enhance departmental and organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
What We Are Looking For:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business information systems or equivalent experience
Minimum 7 years of Information security related experience, preferably in a global multi-national firm
At least 3 years of experience in designing and architecting cloud security solutions
Experience with enterprise multi cloud commercial and hybrid security systems integration
Broad and deep technical experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms and cloud security technologies
Certified in CISSP, CCSP, CCSK or equivalent
Cloud Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Security speciality certification is preferred.
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Information Security Policies, Network Security & Protocols, Patching, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response Planning, Decision Making, Security Training
Knowledge and skills:
Experience in oversight of Infosec projects through the full life-cycle all the way from business case, requirements, design to testing, deployment and adoption
Knowledge or experience with NIST/27001/27002 in order to maintain or improve the security posture of the company by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures
Working knowledge of common cloud service providers with focus on the policy, monitoring, and security areas.
Deep understanding of AWS Security and compliance services like Config, IAM, Guard Duty, Cloud Trail, Cloud Watch, WAF, and Security Hub
General understanding of core AWS Services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC is needed
Good communication skills and ability to efficiently elaborate issues and risks to all partners and senior management
Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a collaboration-mentality to develop, deliver, operationalize, document, and support solutions
Excellent facilitation skills and ability to use influence to negotiate positive outcomes
Solid sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and facilitating various IT teams
