This position is for Beckman Coulter team located at Danaher India Development Center (IDC), Bangalore
IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet and Cepheid.
The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.
The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility, measuring 120 K.
Software Development Engineer with strong 3+ years of expertise in C# .NET with WPF
A global medical device manufacturer is seeking a cybersecurity product engineer to assist in the design and management of medical devices and cloud-based solutions. Will work on application security design specifications and testing. This position will be performing penetration testing, vulnerability scanning and source code scanning on medical devices and cloud services. This position will report to WITS Informatics lead.
Perform penetration testing on medical devices and cloud-based products across multiple global medical devices manufactures.
Assist R&D teams in using various cybersecurity tools for vulnerability assessments and source code scanning.
Active role in the definition and evolution of cybersecurity standard practices and procedures.
Assist and coach R&D teams with developing threat modeling of medical devices.
Work on Proof of Concepts (POC) for new cloud security technologies.
Assist and coach product development teams with security guidance and expertise
Review risk assessment documentation for conformance to a set of security requirements.
Write technical assessments based on analysis of hardware and software designs.
Perform feasibility testing on security programs.
Monitor and analyze security alerts / logs and information.
Assist Service, Sales and R&D team for compliance with regulation requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related discipline; equivalent experience may be acceptable.
Knowledge of cryptography technologies.
Proficient with common security tools (Metasploit, Nexpose, Nessus, burpsuite, nmap, netcat, hping3)
Can comprehend specifications, architectural and high level design, functional specifications and source code.
Proficient in written and verbal communication.
Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects in a global environment.
Three to five years’ experience working with cloud services.
Familiar with open source technology, software development and scripting languages.
Security certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CCSP, CEH, GIAC, CISA a plus.
Excellent knowledge of Information Security standards, frameworks, and best practices for large corporate environments.
Experience managing information security in a medical devices manufacturing environment is preferred.
Direct experience with SOX, HIPAA, FDA, Safe Harbor, GRPD and other international or local security and privacy governance is preferred.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Strong understanding of agile development process.
