This position is for Beckman Coulter team located at Danaher India Development Center (IDC), Bangalore
IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet and Cepheid.
The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.
The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility.
The role will work with Business Analyst and Architects to understand the requirements and architecture, work on converting the assigned feature requirements into design, code and unit tests prior to release for verification. The incumbent will ensure reviews and inspections are carried out at appropriate times in the software development lifecycle to ensure high quality of work products. The incumbent will also be responsible for investigating software problems during verification testing as well as any customer issues post deployment, identify the root cause and provide a proper resolution.
Understand the overall requirements of the product/platform and specifically for the assigned feature/module.
Design and Develop Software as per the product architecture and requirements.
Code and unit testing of the feature/modules including appropriate design reviews and code inspections.
Ensure adherence to the software development processes.
Investigates software / system problems to isolate the root cause and provides innovative solutions.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams (locally & globally) to ensure product releases meet quality, performance, scalability, reliability and schedule goals.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology.
7+ years of experience in software development
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
Experience in Java J2ee based cloud solution
Experience with Core Java, JEE5 (JSP/JMS/Web Services/Servlets), Spring, Hibernate, REST, ReactJS, JQuery
Experience with Microservices Development using Spring Boot
2+ years of experience using Azure OR AWS technologies
Understanding of MQTT, AMQP and HTTP protocol
Strong experience in Azure IOT Suite: IoT HUB , Azure TSI, DPS, Service Bus, Azure Functions, Azure KeyVault, MCI/AKS, Azure AD (Preferred)
Strong knowledge in Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL (Preferred)
Experience in Storages like NoSQL DB, Blob storage, and Postgres SQL can be a plus
Must have worked in agile/scrum environment
Good knowledge in SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures -preferred
Good understanding of software development processes, preferably for a regulated medical devices environment (ISO13485/FDA)
Ability to work with cross-functional and remote teams.
Flexibility to work on different areas of the product/platform
Good written and verbal English communication
Ability to travel as needed (minimal)
