This position is for Beckman Coulter team located at Danaher India Development Center (IDC), Bangalore
IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500+ associates for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet, Sciex, IDBS and Cepheid.
The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of ground breaking products for Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.
The inhouse teams works in close coordination with global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility, measuring 120K sqft.
Integrated Customer Experience (ICE) team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to lead, design and implement software platform features working collaboratively with team. The incumbent will join a team of highly skilled engineers charged with delivering the software platform for Beckman Coulters next generation products. He or She will Develop and deliver ICE Platform features and common applications following the software development lifecycle and Design Controls.
Specific responsibilities commensurate with experience and include
Work in iterative release product environment, with focus on challenging quality and delivery goals
Requirement analysis and ability to resolve client requirements.
Develop quick prototypes to demonstrate the design concepts and product ideas to team, management, product management, Customers etc.
Work independently as well as with SME’s, Architects, product managers etc.
Use effectively prior experience of leading, designing and developing software modules.
Ensure compliance to organizational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements such as FDA, ISO 13485
Bachelor’s/Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field with 5 – 10 years of proven experience
Good in Windows architecture framework .NET 4 and C# Programming Language
Experience in presentation\GUI Development using WPF
Good in software design & development.
Experience in designing software components using OOA/OOD methodologies.
Exposure to Continuous Integration, delivery and deployment, version Control.
Effective Technical Communication and problem solving skills
Ability to work with multi-functional and remote teams.
Experience with SDK or software platform development and supporting product based variability. (+)
Cloud technologies: e.g. AWS and Azure cloud (+)
Experience in Agile and Scrum principles would be a (+)
Exposure to Design Control and Healthcare domain is a (+)
