IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 700+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Digital Teams, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet, SCIEX, IDBS, Laetus, Cepheid and Beckman Coulter Life sciences.
The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.
The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility.
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of software design, development, and maintain Linux middleware components for IoT edge solutions, including network communication, device management, password management, certificate management, and network and firewall configuration. Your in-depth knowledge of industry best practices and tools will be essential in optimizing our software development lifecycle and achieving continuous integration and delivery.
This position is part of the Software, Systems and Automation business unit located in Bangalore and will be hybrid mode working. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Design, develop, and maintain Linux middleware components for IoT edge solutions, including network communication, device management, password management, certificate management, and network and firewall configuration.
Utilize your strong skills in scripting languages such as Shell scripting, Python, or PHP to implement middleware solutions.
Ensure seamless integration and compatibility with Redhat/CentOS/Oracle Linux or Debian/Ubuntu Linux flavors.
Package middleware components using RPM or DEB package managers.
Manage TLS certificates using OpenSSL for secure communication.
Configure and manage network components, including VPN, DHCP, SSH, DNS, NTP, HTTP/s and FTP.
Gather requirements and understand desired functionality for each middleware component.
Troubleshoot and debug issues related to middleware functionality and integration.
Contribute to the development of Java-based middleware solutions (core Java experience preferred).
The essential requirements of the job include.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with strong knowledge in Linux system development and middleware technologies.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell scripting, Python, or PHP.
Work experience with Redhat/CentOS/Oracle Linux or Debian/Ubuntu Linux flavors.
Experience in TLS certificate management using OpenSSL.
Network configuration experience with VPN, DHCP, SSH, DNS, NTP, HTTP/s and FTP.
Experience in core Java (an added advantage).
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
