The Product Privacy & Cyber Security Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for collaboration with the Clinical Informatics (CIT) Senior Manager, Software Development Managers and DevSecOps team with the primary responsibility to guide privacy and security (P&S) design, implementation and management of medical device software and cloud-based solutions.
This position is part of the Danaher India Development Center (IDC) located in Bengaluru, India and will be a hybrid position. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop threat models and mitigations to vulnerabilities, application security design specifications and testing.
Work on proof-of-concepts for new cloud security technologies and review risk assessment documentation defined in privacy & security standards.
Penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, source code scanning on medical device software and cloud-based products across multiple global R&D centers
Participate in investigations related to Privacy/Security incidents and response activities.
Participate in cybersecurity compliance audits, review of products, definition, documentation, and evolution of standard practices & procedures.
Collaborate with DevSecOps team to implement security tools and automation of associate tasks.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/a related field with 3 – 5 years of proven appropriate experience or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related discipline; equivalent experience may be acceptable.
Proficiency in common security tools (for example: Metasploit, Nexpose, Nessus, burpsuite, nmap, netcat, hping3)
Knowledge of cryptography technologies, networking security, analyzing the open-source solutions assessments and PKI.
Knowledgeable in working with Security modules like Encryption, Authentication and Authorization.
Excellent knowledge of Information Security standards, frameworks, and best practices for large corporate environments.
Experience in cloud environment and associated security configuration – AWS (preferred)/Azure
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Managing information security in a medical devices manufacturing environment is preferred.
SOX, HIPAA, FDA, Safe Harbor, GDPR and other international or local security and privacy governance is preferred.
Docker/Kubernetes privacy & security. Security certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CCSP, CEH, GIAC, CISA experience is a plus.
