This position is for Beckman Coulter team located at Danaher India Development Center (IDC), Bangalore

IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet and Cepheid.

The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.

The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility.

The position of Scrum Master, Cloud and Data Platform reports to the Senior Manager R&D, WITS BU with the primary responsibility of improving interactions between the Scrum team (https://www.visual-paradigm.com/scrum/what-is-scrum-team/) and the organization in order to maximize the productivity of the Scrum teams.

Project Description

The Beckman Coulter DxONE Insights application is an enterprise Laboratory analytics platform software solution. As a Scrum Master, you will join a team of skilled software engineers to lead 2 scrum teams and drive key initiatives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-performance technology team and fast paced work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication.

Responsibilities.

  • Act as an enabler for the effective functioning of a software development team using Agile Methodology.

  • Create and maintain top/sub level development plan according to planning progress, align development with cross functional dependencies and project risk

  • Instill sense of urgency, drive team debate around key issues and risk while keeping big picture and long-term targets in mind

  • Helps the Product Owner maximize productivity.

  • Delivers on the key metrics of the project (cost, schedule, performance)

  • Leads up to 3 Scrum teams and facilitate Scrum and Scrum-of-Scrum ceremonies

  • Facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing

  • Uses DBS tools if appropriate to achieve constructive outcomes.

  • Sets priorities and assures effective capacity planning

  • Defines Roles and responsibilities to the team members

  • Defines clear requirements and expectations towards the team members

  • Collaborates with product owner, engineering leaders and stakeholders

  • Clears project obstacles and impediments that could slow down the team’s progress

  • Helps the team boost their productivity and performance

  • Coaches the team in agile principles and values including self-organization and cross-functionality

  • Helps development team create high-quality products

  • Organizes the team and implement development processes to continuously deliver on time with high efficiency.

  • Make presentations to the senior leadership about the project status.

Requirements

  • Must be a Certified Scrum Master with 5+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master experience

  • A can-do attitude in anticipating and resolving problems to help your team to achieve its goals.

  • Excellent communication skills with direct team members as well as external teams and stakeholders.

  • Must have experience in Agile development methods.

  • Willingness to travel (<5%)

  • Advanced knowledge of the software development life cycle and of several software development methodologies

  • Experience with processes and tools supporting Agile methodologies

  • Project Management with ability to manage risks, issues and dependencies

  • Healthcare Informatics and big data experience preferred.

  • Ability to coach and mentor the team to reach their highest potential

  • Collaborative approach to decision-making -Strong analytical skills
