This position is for Beckman Coulter team located at Danaher India Development Center (IDC), Bangalore

IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet and Cepheid.

The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.

The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility, measuring 120 K

Description

The position Scrum Master, reports to the LBS Manager, RemoteService application Software Development, with primarily responsible for ensuring the team lives agile values and principles and follows the processes and practices that the team agreed they would use. The responsibilities of this role include: Clearing obstacles, Protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions. As Member of the development department, you will take part in the projects of the LBS CHS as a scrum master and process expert. In a context of agile project, you will work closely with the team (developers, testers, product owner), to assess the level of quality of the company’s software solutions.

Specific responsibilities commensurate with experience and include

  • Promoter and committed defender of the scrum framework in the team and for various stakeholders.

  • Bring the development team to self-organization

  • Protect the development team, ensure it remains focused to the work.

  • Help other members of the team when asked and/or proposes his help when the team is stuck.

  • Make sure that scrum events are organized regularly and efficiently (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, daily scrum, …)

  • Draw up Quality Management Systems plans and reports

  • Responsible of setup/sustain project key performance indicators.

  • Develops solid mastering of Danaher Business System tools and applies to day-to-day work.

  • Ensure that the software developed is technically sound by having the ability to deep dive into the details of the architecture and design.

  • Work closely with stakeholders across globe to regularly track progress against objectives, report team activities.

  • Facilitate discussion within the team and with other departments

Required Skills

  • Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in the software industry with prior experience as a scrum master for a development team (minimum 3 years).

  • Functional knowledge of medical, healthcare and/or web application is a plus.

  • Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees.

  • Multidisciplinary experience overseeing Development, Test, Product management, Program Management, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs

  • Experience in risk management (FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis).

  • Ability to guide and convince the team.

  • Mediator of conflicts/opposition between Product owners and the team.

  • Proven results-oriented person with a delivery focus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Transparency. Reporting impediment and dysfunction as soon as possible.

  • Ability to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating

  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is a way of life.

  • Passionate about team advocacy and fostering a healthy environment of productivity.

  • Expert of the scrum framework.

  • Mastery of a bug tracking tool (ideally JIRA)

  • Mastery in understanding product use cases

  • Mastery in managing process documents

  • Knowledge of programming methods (Object oriented, design patterns, …)

  • Knowledge of programming norms (C#, .Net)

  • Knowledge of scripting

  • Knowledge of cyber privacy and security environment.

  • Knowledge of cloud technology (Azure IoT Cloud)
