We are currently seeking a Senior DC Buyer planner who will be responsible to optimize inventory levels, facilitate the procurement process, and ensure timely delivery of goods to the distribution center. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and collaborating with various departments within the organization to streamline operations

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to sales, inventory, production, and customer demand.

  • Demand & Supply Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and customer insights. Continuously monitor and refine these forecasts to ensure alignment with business objectives. Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to assess capacity, inventory levels, and production capabilities. Coordinate the planning and scheduling of resources to meet demand and optimize inventory levels.

  • New Product Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth and timely execution of the NPI process as part of the product review.

  • Sales and Operations Meetings: Participate in regular S&OP meetings to review and assess forecast accuracy, identify gaps, and propose corrective actions. Offer recommendations to improve operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, production, inventory, and customer service levels. Provide regular reports and insights to management, highlighting areas of concern and potential improvement opportunities.

The required qualifications for the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years / master’s degree with 5+ years’ experience with Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in material planning, supplier management, sales and operations planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain analytics.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, statistical analysis software).

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability.

  • Monitor stock levels to ensure sufficient inventory is available to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and scrap.
