The Senior Electrical Engineer for Radiometer is responsible to support our ongoing development programs for both new and legacy products. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be a critical team member working cross-functionally in supporting legacy instrumentation product design changes, quality improvements, and customer driven product enhancements.

This position is part of the Radiometer R&D IDC Hardware team located in India Development Center (IDC) Bangalore and will be working hybrid. At Radiometer, our vision is to improve global healthcare with reliable, fast, and easy patient diagnoses.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support and lead hardware sustaining, and research and development projects from an electrical perspective (analog/digital circuits and FPGA)

  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of projects through conception, definition, design, documentation, and release to production.

  • Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.

  • Organizes and actively participates in design reviews and project reviews.

  • Ensures robust/reliable product design, verification, and validation of initial and subsequent design changes making sure that all FDA/ISO/EN and other related requirements are consistently met.

  • Manage design execution of sophisticated projects using a strong systems mindset including hardware, software, fluidics, reagents, and biologics, leading to the closure of all technical gaps throughout the ideation and development life cycle.

  • Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.

The essential requirements of the job include:

a) Formal Education

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree (B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

b) “Must Have” Competencies / Skills / Experience

  • Should have 5+ years of relevant experience in Electrical & Electronic Engineering Product Design & Development domain with project management skills.

  • Expertise in Analog, Digital, Control, and Microcontroller cantered Electrical/Electronic design.

  • PMP or Prince2 certification.

  • Understanding of Product Development Process, Life cycle management, and Manufacturing.

  • Proven experience in project management. Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.

  • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion. Along with preparing status reports by gathering, analysing, and summarizing relevant information.

  • Proficient in analog design and frequency domain analysis

  • Experience using Orcad design and layout.

  • Knowledge of grounding and noise reduction techniques as well as EMI and RFI control.

  • Design for manufacturing: Ease of assembly, cost of goods, second sourcing & etc.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of manufacturing testing systems: in-circuit and functional testing.

  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and on cross-functional.

  • Excellent analytical skills and structured approach to problem-solving.

  • Competences within documentation and document structures, as this is a large part of our everyday life.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience with IVD and/or Life Science instruments.

  • Any experience with hands-on fabrication.
