Danaher Corporation Senior HR Business Partner - PID R&D and Hosted Teams in Bangalore, India

Main responsibilities and key activities:

  • Act as an integral member of the leader’s Management Team and own the monthly HR dashboard for the leader’s area. Analyze data trends and develop insight using DBS (Danaher Business Systems) methodologies and tools and make recommendations.

  • Co-own (together with the leader) the Talent agenda and Succession Plans, ensuring the talent funnel covers identified key leadership positions and critical knowledge roles, in alignment with the targets and standards set by the Global Talent Management CoE.

  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition CoE to ensure sourcing & selection for positions for your stakeholder group are delivered on time, at the right quality as defined by the Job description and in line with our talent funnel and Succession Plan targets and overall within the estimated budget.

  • Co-own (together with the hiring manager) the onboarding process and work to optimize onboarding and minimize time-to-productivity of new hires.

  • Co-own the Skills & Knowledge Map, identify gaps and individual development needs, and together with the Learning & Development CoE pro-actively address gaps by offering relevant training, learning and development programs

  • Work with the Financial Controller to align the Resource Plan on a monthly basis with the Financial Forecast. Support hiring managers with the business case for hiring

  • Support leaders in maximizing engagement and retention and in optimizing performance.

  • Work with the Compensation & Benefits CoE in ensuring optimal pay practices, reflective of the country needs and that optimize ROI on labour cost

  • Help leaders to accelerate organizational transformation by co-owning restructuring projects and ensuring professional change management standards are met

  • Support leaders in making optimal use of the HR services and solutions portfolio, particularly during the annual merit & performance cycle, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met

  • Support the HRLT and the global CoE’s in designing and developing a portfolio of HR services and solutions that meet the needs of your business groups

  • Be a certified trainer who regularly deliver trainings of various ongoing Esko and Danaher training programs

  • Own and manage all HR operational elements including updated policy guidelines, payroll and statutory compliances, employee relations, etc.

  • Responsible for the overall general administration and facilities management for the India Head Office

Qualifications and professional knowledge:

  • Masters Degree in HR or Business Administration with relevant HR experience

  • 12+ yrs of generalist HR experience, with atleast 3 years in a managerial capacity

  • Experienced in change management or project management, with a deep knowledge and mastery of DBS

  • Strong command of written and verbal English language

  • Past experience in Managing end to end HR for a small to mid-sized multinational, R&D business would be an added advantage.

  • Proven track record in managing core HR processes such as annual salary & equity cycle, talent and performance calibration, succession planning, skills gap and productivity analysis, resource planning and Organizational Development

Competencies (personal qualifications):

  • Demonstrate superior customer relationship management skills

  • Discreet in managing confidential data & keeping confidences

  • Is able to manage competing priorities and or able to seek help where needed

  • Is proficient in Excel, with the ability to process a large volume of data

  • Experience in Workday, of managing payroll, e-leave tools, etc. would be advantageous

  • Ability to exercise independent judgement

  • Functional peers & Managers such as HR BP for Global R&D, CoE Leaders in TA, C&B, TM, etc.

  • Peers within the PID and Danaher India cohort across commercial and R&D

  • HR Vendors such as payroll, statutory compliance, Background Verification Agency, etc.
