Role: Solution Architect I – APAC

Job Objective:

In the role of Asia Pacific (APAC) Solution Architect (Integrations) – you will work with our APAC Applications Sales Managers (ASM) and Customer Service Managers to analyze, define and deliver integrated packaging management systems solutions that help our customers optimize their business processes. Your focus will be on requirement analysis workshops, business process optimizations and building custom tailored systems and integrations. It’s a challenging role where you will work on a diverse range of projects, giving you the chance to meet a lot of people in various businesses.

As Solution Architect (Integrations) - your main responsibilities are:

  • Assist the ASM community in performing workshops and quick-win audits to analyze customer business processes, gather customer requirements and define/design a solution (scope and design workshops)

  • To implement online process and packaging management and integration solutions at customers, the majority of these services will be delivered remotely with the assistance of in country support teams when/if necessary

  • To drive successful implementations by creating relevant documentation (such as scope and design workshop reports, training documentation, Solution Overview Documentation, Integration solution specification and functional specification)

  • Use a structured project management approach and methodology to develop a integration strategy and solution for the systems that meets clients’ overall business goals and objectives

  • Effectively communicate the design and implementation process internally and to customers

  • Act as a technical expert addressing problems relating to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integration

  • Knowledge Transfer and education to other associates within the ASM and Service community

  • To continually identify opportunities to build standardization into our offering, working with our sales and pre-sales teams to implement these

  • To interact with our R&D teams to share ideas & feedback from the market demands that ultimately contribute to the continued improvement of our solutions

  • To interact with Pre-Sales and After Care teams to provide documentation on the designed/implemented solutions once delivered for improved customer support

  • To provide training on deployed solutions to customers

What we expect from a Solution Architect:


  • Bachelors degree in Engineering

  • Overall experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience

  • Proven ability to work in multi-functional teams, networking effectively with others to achieve desired goals

  • 2+ years’ experience (or equivalent) in areas such as, but not limited to:

  • Business process or asset management technology solution architecture, ideally in a service solution or packaging domain

  • Providing software and/or services to enterprise customers

  • Software user training (e.g. workflow building, system configuration, system admin, developing key users up to a professional/expert level)

  • Software support (e.g. registering, administering, diagnosing and resolving customer support requests)

  • Other technical services domains (e.g. application engineering, enterprise level software installation)

  • Technical discussions and negotiations with client stakeholders

  • Act as a technical expert addressing problems relating to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms

  • You have a professional qualification and expertise within this domain

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages appreciated

  • Experience in the Esko software WebCenter, Automation Engine, 3rd party connectivity/translation (e.g. XML, XSD, XSLT, WSDL, JSON and RESTful services) along with experience in SQL database management

  • Experience with HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS, REST API and jQuery is considered a plus

  • Experience planning and deploying both business and IT data integration initiatives

  • Proficient in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • The ability to recognize functional and technical interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies

  • The ability to apply architectural principles to business integration solutions

  • Experience modelling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques

  • Experience creating & visualizing high-level model based representation that can be used to align business issues, business expectations and data integration solutions to be delivered

  • Willingness to travel nationally and regionally on a when required basis
