Danaher Corporation Technical Sales Representative (South India) in Bangalore, India

Essential Functions:

  • Manage Direct Customer and distributor within allocated zones/ country.

  • Through individual sales activities, prospecting, lead follow-up, and other means, identify new sales opportunities within and outside existing account base. Utilize individual direct technical selling to convert these opportunities into sales. Support new and existing customer needs as appropriate.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key individuals involved in the use, recommendation, approval and procurement of relevant research products.

  • Develop and execute prioritized daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity plans to maximize selling time and effectiveness

  • Complete and submit in a timely manner all requested reports, analyses, presentations, and other requested information.

  • Develop Strategic and Tactical plans for Key Accounts & Distributor, which maximizes return on invested resources and meets or exceeds assigned sales targets.

  • To motivate and ensure that distributor sales targets are met or exceeded, where appropriate visiting local markets to support. Preparation for such visits to be thorough and timely and include a comprehensive agenda of topics to be raised with the distributor and details of the purpose and expected value of any customer visits.

  • Regularly access distributor performance and where necessary recommend and implement actions to make sure standards of performance & sales target are met.

  • Analyze competitor activities, literature, catalog, direct marketing, web sites, etc. Understand performance benefits and weaknesses of competitor products.

  • To maintain a high degree of knowledge of company products and procedures and ensure distributor training needs in relation to these products and procedures are fully met

  • Share collected information with appropriate internal and external groups.

  • Be aware of the quality policy and contribute to achieving quality goals by following all related procedures and work instructions. And by doing so adhere to the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard applied within the company, where applicable.

  • Practice safe working habits, follow all IDT safety policies, perform safety checks on equipment and systems, and identify, correct, and report potential safety hazards.

    Education:

  • Degree/Master’s degree in Biotechnology or Life Sciences is required.

Professional Experience:

  • Min 4-6 years sales and marketing experience in Life Sciences field, ideally some laboratory work experience in relevant area.

Other Job Qualifications

  • Experience in generating leads, negotiating, and closing the leads

  • SFDC or CRM knowledge is required

  • Skill to effectively manage time to meet operational needs and desired outcomes.

  • Skill to effectively organize information to meet operational needs and desired outcomes.

  • Skill to prioritize workflow in a changing work environment.

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

  • Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience.

Travel Requirements:

  • Frequent travel (more than 70%) is expected.
