The EMEA & HGM Tax Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for:
Point of contact for the EMEA & HGM commercial teams on tax related matters to support tax efficient structuring of business transactions, including indirect tax advise
Oversee tax operations, compliance and documentation in close cooperation with the respective local and Danaher Corporate Tax Compliance teams
Hands-on involvement in preparation of statutory accounts of major legal entities, with focus on Italy
Support Beckman’s Global Tax and TP Manager in the implementation of operational TP strategies
Manage tax audits in the region in accordance with Corporate policies, defend TP positions, in cooperation with Beckman’s Global Tax and TP Manager
Manage EMEA & HGM inter-company recharges in accordance with TP regulations
Coordinate support on tax matters by external tax advisors and DHR Corporate Tax, ensuring best and most cost effective service
Optimize tax control framework and underlying processes according to Danaher Policies and support process improvements through technological or innovative solutions
The essential requirements of the job include:
Master degree in Economics, (Tax) Law, or Finance and preferably additional qualification as Certified Tax Advisor, Chartered Financial Analyst or Dottore Commercialista
Minimum 10 years of corporate tax experience in accounting firm and/or corporate industry, preferably a combination of both
Experience with transfer pricing operations as well as managing large sets of data
Fluency in English and Italian, written and spoken, is a must
Knowledge of US tax principles and US tax accounting (current and deferred tax).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Ability to think and solve problems independently / proactively propose solutions
Solid technology skills including mid-to-advanced usage of Excel and ability to navigate new technological solutions. Experience with Oracle (or equivalent ERP), CorpTax or other tax reporting tool
