We are growing our team! As a Field Service Engineer you are the “Go to person” for customers in your region, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate a tremendous ability to work alone and unsupervised. This role will be working across the EMEA region but mainly focusing on France, Belgium and the UK (sometimes travel can be at short notice but will be Monday-Friday with the occasional weekend work). When you are not travelling/onsite you get to work from the comfort of home. We could consider people in the UK, France, Spain or Belgium.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning service visits directly with the customer

  • Generating on time professional reports for internal and customer submission

  • FAT/SAT and Field Service support activities

  • Remote Technical support

  • Fault finding and investigation.

  • Quotation preparation of Spare parts and Service work.

  • Generating Risk Assessments and Method statements

  • Delivering customer based training of Pall Water systems

  • Assignments will involve travel to specified sites (both domestic and international)

  • Optimally deliver presentations, including the ability to connect with learners from various technical backgrounds: i.e., discussion leading, questioning, responding and fielding skills.

  • Assist in the development of service products to expand the service product portfolio

  • Amount of travel required: 70%

Background and Skills

  • Highly skilled in Electrical automation and mechanically minded the ideal candidate will be completely committed to great customer service.

  • Relevant technical apprenticeship with 2-3 years related work experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Chemical Engineering preferred but equivalent experience would be great too

  • Multilingual proficiency would be great, but as a minimum English is required, with German and French being a great asset

  • Technical qualifications in Electrical or chemical engineering (Mechanical considered)

  • Demonstrate mastery in relevant field service competencies, including but not limited to process knowledge; PLC and HMI Skills; installation and start-up of controls hardware and network (Ethernet, DeviceNet,).

  • Able to read, understand, comment and red line technical drawings and PNID

  • Experience in the water industry - ideally within filtration

  • Can interpret and work effectively to execute all aspects of the remote or on-site service event, while maintaining/developing good customer satisfaction.

  • Communicate well, both written/verbal delivery and effective listening, both internally and externally.

  • Demonstrate a well-mannered, conscientious and professional manner in all forms of communications at all times

  • Can use in-depth knowledge of customers, vendors, suppliers and contractors, part, equipment, process controls and materials to achieve desired results.
