Do you want to work in a European Technical and Product Support Team? Do you enjoy problem solving, troubleshooting, and remote assistance for customers in the fields of Mass Spectrometry and liquid chromatography?

Due to continuous growth opportunities, we are currently seeking a Technical Specialist (f/m/d) to cover Europe with a highlight on Spanish, Portuguese and English-speaking location from a remote workplace. You will be responsible for driving problem resolution and for supplying support services to external customers and internal customers facing associates using telephone and remote access technology. You will work independently to resolve all assigned customer and technical issues. You will contribute to the efficient repair of instrumentation systems and minimize the cost of service and support activities by effective troubleshooting and problem solving.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide problem solving and troubleshooting assistance for external customers and internal customer facing associates via phone, Live Chat, Internal Ticketing Systems, and other remote access technology (both written and oral).

  • Creatively solve problems and develop customer-oriented solutions and documentation.

  • Work cross functionally: To be successful in this role, the Technical Assistance Center Specialist partners with SciexNow group to enhance customer satisfaction by reducing product down time for customers and limiting field engineer dispatches.

  • Contributes to the efficient repair of instrumentation systems as well as administrative tasks for Field Service Engineer (FSE) dispatching and keeps a good tracking record of customer issues. This helps to minimize the cost of service and support activities by effective troubleshooting and problem solving.

  • Field travel to customer sites is required to perform installation or repair as necessary to gain field experience and keep technical skills sharp: Planned and as per a rotating agenda.

  • This open position is meant to be a European contributor with a priority given to regions such as Iberia and English speaking request. English and Spanish speaking is mandatory.

The essential requirements of the role include:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • The successful candidate will have experience in operating and maintaining scientific instruments in a laboratory, in a field service capacity or as an advanced user of Sciex products, performing basic user maintenance tasks.

  • Spanish & English fluency

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Strong analytical skills to remote troubleshooting with Sciex mass spectrometry products.

  • Accurate reporting and timely submission of Technical Assistance Center (TAC) activities for metric reporting. (Key performance indicators as logging calls, details of calls, activities, time to repair)

  • Valid driver’s license to regularly travel at both internal and external customer sites.
