Danaher Corporation Field Service Engineer (Integration & Informatics Technical Support) in Barra Funda, Brazil
Major Responsibilities:
Participate as a project team member for Leica Biosystems Interface implementations while adhering to regulatory guidelines governing medical devices
System and LIS Subject Matter Expert for Leica Biosystems product portfolio.
Report writing
Train the customer sites on troubleshooting interface issues
Provide technical support when escalated from the Support Team
Support large regional team efforts by serving as a technical liaison between the customer, the Sales Unit, and the Business Unit to advance deals involving LIS integration components
Saliently convey unique value proposition connectivity offering to potential customers
Maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape of LIS offerings of vendors
Working collaboratively with sales leadership including input from the Manager of Applications, this role will provide additional leadership and work effort towards the LIS integration administration, laboratory instrument communications management, LIS interfacing, and database management.
Provide guidance on software configuration best practices to customer’s specific infrastructure requirements.
Software installations and Leica hardware scanning devices
Work collectively with the Integrations & Informatics team to provide solutions to customers in terms of installations, integrations and custom requests
Mentor and train other team members on technical and procedural matters.
Recommend and utilize standard internal troubleshooting procedures; provide documentation and direct feedback to coworkers as appropriate.
Effectively communicate procedural and technical issues to internal and external customers through a variety of mediums.
Provide guidance on software configuration best practices to customer’s specific infrastructure requirements.
Troubleshoot Windows networking, connectivity and permissions issues remotely with our customers.
First customer support and troubleshooting of scanners software.
Required Education, Experience, Skills
Education:
- B.S. Degree, preferably in Management Information Systems (MIS), engineering, or Computer Science.
Experience/Skills:
Knowledgeable on HL7 and application interfacing with the major Laboratory Information System/Laboratory Information Management System vendors
Possess detailed troubleshooting techniques and knowledge of products supported and resolves issues that require considerable judgment with limited supervision.
Good presentation skills as solutions to complex issues will need to be presented to the group.
Experienced in resolving customer problems and providing a high level of customer satisfaction
Experience in a similar role
General IT knowledge
High level of SQLServer proficiency
Extensive problem-solving experience
Technical writing skills
Project implementation experience
Experience with creating and completing Quality Assurance test plans
Desired Experience/Skills:
Understanding of medical technology
Understanding of Lab workflow
Experience with java programming and MIRTH
LIS implementation experience:
Practice in estimating time frames, quality and quantity of tasks required to efficiently implement project
Experience in following, maintaining, and improving the implementation methodology
SoftDx, Cerner, EPIC, Sunquest and/or other Anatomic Pathology LIS experience is a plus.
Experience with Azure and cloud data storage
Skilled technical writer able to document problems and solutions for use by other Technical Support personnel.
Experience supporting Apache web server products
Experience with image processing applications
Experience with medical devices, applications, and/or regulated environments
