Plans, directs, and coordinates the daily activities of service personnel to achieve service and business objectives;
Communicates with other department managers to identify potential improvements in the quality of services and/or support provided;
Ability to defuse challenging internal and external customer/employee situations;
Identifies service, technical and workflow skill sets assessment and mentoring to the direct reports;
Develops and tracks performance objectives for the team and effectively addresses and resolves employee issues;
Demonstrates effective communication skills, either through team interactions or presentations to clearly articulate business objectives strategies;
Effectively strategizes and drives district business objectives;
Responsible for meeting/exceeding business objectives (Revenue/Orders/Margin/OP) for the district;
Manages district company assets including inventory, company cars, and tools;
Establishes a regular cadence of activity reports for the purposes of driving business and proficiency improvements;
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, goal setting, evaluating performance, salary administration, and career development;
Responsible to meet/drive all compliance objectives;
Working knowledge of life science products and workflows;
Communicates regularly with sales colleagues to drive business objectives;
Drives commercialization of SCIEX products.
Associate’s degree (A.S./A.A.S) or Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent experience;
Prior experience using and/or servicing mass spectrometry or related scientific instruments;
Leadership experience managing a project, group and/or teams;
Proven experience managing complex tasks including project management;
Proven experience working with confidential or sensitive information;
Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SAP, Oracle 11i. or other ERPs are considered a plus;
Results oriented – has track record for delivery results, takes ownership and is accountable;
Stretch oriented – embraces and thrives on challenge;
Continuous improvement oriented – participates in Kaizens, has familiarity with lean principles;
Customer Service oriented – high sense of urgency;
Proven ability to manage the staffing challenges associated within a commercial multi-site company.
