Scope of Position:


Serve as the local relay of the Product Management and Food & Environment Market inChina. Provide regional input and help deploy key initiatives within the region. This role isthe marketing champion within the China organization with deep understanding of the local market environment (legal, social, economical environment, market trends, competition, pricing and distribution).Hold the business together with all parties involved in vertical market to ensure business success.


Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain China Market Model for the vertical market;

  2. Develop growth strategies and business plans that will develop new business or increases market share;

  3. Work with global business unit and marketing team to define new product opportunities, develop positioning and ensure success during new product introductions; Manage product discontinuation;

  4. Define and/or refine the Go To Market strategy based on segmentation, targeting and positioning;

  5. Build market intelligence in the vertical market (VOC, KOL key player, competition etc.);

  6. Together with marketing and sales team, design and implement marketing and lead-generation programs (conferences, road shows, workshops, VIP events, webpage, webinars, social media etc.) that enable the awareness, interest and preference of the vertical market’s customers;

  7. Monitor funnel healthiness from leads to orders with sales and supporting team;

  8. Render win-loss analysis regularly and actively monitor competitor activities (regional product offerings, pricing, promotions, etc) in the vertical market;

  9. Develop and deliver competitive sales tools (collaterals, battle card, ROI calculator, etc.) and sales trainings across China;

  10. Establish and maintain the network with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the vertical market together with in-house team. Establish and maintain relationship and smooth process of Reference site;

  11. In collaboration with marketing team to define and execute marketing communication to the industry to build branding in the vertical market;

  12. Price management: Build and fine tune pricing threshold, considering market dynamics and market share, revenue and margin;

  13. Plan and implement seasonable promotions

Qualification
Required Qualifications:


1. At least 10 years relevant working experience. 2. Master degree in Bio-analytical chemistry or related discipline, a Bachelor degree but with > 5 years working experience may also be considered. A PhD degree is preferred. 3. Hands-on experience in mass spectrometry with small molecule and proteomics analysis knowledge is an advantage. 4. Experienced in customer relation building with good knowledge in the pharmaceutical industry and interpersonal skills. 5. Ability to relate to and engage with various levels within a client’s organization and have strong networking skills. 6. Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for relationships. 7. Strong written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English required. Excellent presentation and communications skills in both Chinese and English. 8. Ability to travel within the territory to carry out primary responsibilities.
