About This Role:
Sea-Bird Scientific is looking for a Junior Technician that will provide fast and useful technical assistance to resolve Water Quality associate’s technical issues. They must have strong communication and technical skills to be able to understand, relate and resolve technical issues. They must be customer focused and patient in difficult situations. They are the first point of contact for Water Quality associates seeking technical assistance and escalate issues that require elevated technical skillsets to resolve.
What Will I Be Doing?
Serve as first point of contact for WQ associate seeking resolution to technical issues while providing on-site and remote support
Perform troubleshooting to identify and then correct user requests within SLA
Setup, configure, maintain and upgrade laptop/desktop/tablet computers and peripherals
Record user requests, troubleshooting and corrective actions within the WQIT Information Technology Service Management (“ITSM”) tool
Completion of IT projects identified by management
Respond to outages and assist team with problem triage and remediation of network, server and systems issues
Su pport wired and wireless implementations / connectivity within the facility
What Are The Qualifications?
High School Degree required
2 year technical support experienced preferred
Technical knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10/8/7/XP) required
Windows 10 workstation installation and administration
Server-based system software knowledge preferred
Knowledge of basic TCP/IP and networking
· Knowledge of Anti-Virus software
· Experience with Microsoft 0365 applications
· Active Directory (“AD”) experience
The salary range for this role is 37K - 50K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Washington. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
