About the position:

As an onsite associate, you will work with your manager to agree on a regular start time between 5am and 8am, committing to arrive daily within a 15-minute window of that time. The testing team has production and delivery goals that are driven on a monthly basis. Occasionally, extended hours and/or Saturday work is available to earn overtime, usually around the last week of the month.

  • Perform quality pre-checks on components and parts required to complete a job; perform quality checks on completed assemblies

  • Follow detailed instructions in several formats (i.e, drawings, schematics, bills of material, internal procedures or some combination thereof), and report work completed daily

  • Interpret and evaluate test results with oversight (including temperature, salinity, conductivity, pressure and oceanographic data)

  • Recognize and report/communicate problems with quality, processes, equipment or materials to Manufacturing Lead, Supervisor or Operations Manager, and assist with basic troubleshooting

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing standard methodologies

  • Participate in Kaizen Events

Qualifications

  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience required

  • 1-3 years of related demonstrated electrical and/or mechanical experience required

  • Basic knowledge of instruments and tools such as hand and power tools, test jigs, voltmeters, and ohmmeters required; excellent electro-mechanical skills ideal

  • Ability to read, interpret, and use engineering drawings and schematics preferred

  • Excellent attention to detail, and ability to perform precise procedures consistently

  • This is hands-on work and may require you to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds on occasion
