We are looking to fill two Test Technician I roles. Working onsite at our Bellevue location, the Test Technician I is responsible for using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, jigs, test equipment and work instructions to integrate systems, test components, sub-assemblies or instruments to ensure performance standards.

As an onsite associate, you will work with your manager to agree on a regular start time between 5am and 8am, committing to arrive daily within a 15-minute window of that time. The testing team has production and delivery goals that are driven on a monthly basis. Occasionally, extended hours and/or Saturday work is available to earn overtime, usually around the last week of the month.

What you will do:

  • Perform quality pre-checks on components and parts required to complete a job

  • Follow detailed instructions in a variety of formats (i.e, drawings, schematics, bills of material, internal procedures or some combination thereof), and report work completed on a daily basis

  • Perform quality checks on completed assemblies

  • Interpret test results and evaluate data with oversight (including temperature, salinity, conductivity, pressure and oceanographic data)

  • Recognize and effectively report/communicate problems with quality, processes, equipment or materials to Manufacturing Lead, Supervisor or Operations Manager, and assist with basic troubleshooting

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing best practices

  • Participate in Kaizen Events

Are you qualified?

  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience

  • 1-3 years of related electrical and/or mechanical work experience

  • Basic knowledge of necessary instruments and tools such as hand and power tools, test jigs, voltmeters and ohmmeters

  • Ability to read, interpret, and use engineering drawings and schematics

  • Excellent electro-mechanical skills, including troubleshooting

  • Excellent attention to detail, and ability to perform precise procedures consistently

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • This is hands-on work and may require you to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds on occasion

  • We conduct pre employment testing. External hiring into this position is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
