The Value Chain Process Lead will support the Process Specialist and Operations Mangers to integrate Service and Production work into comprehensive value chains. This will include the setup of work cells, collaboration on Standard Work, and training associates on new tools and products. This position will work with the Operations Manager and Process Specialist on improved daily management, ensuring the value chains have the appropriate tools to understand the team’s performance and trends, and can identify and implement sustained countermeasures for gaps. This position will lead teams within this value chain and will have a strong focus to improve overall On-Time Delivery (ODT) and External Quality.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the work of associates in the value chains, including but not limited to developing priorities and setting work schedules with the support of Operation Managers

  • Assist Process Specialist to create a plan for implementation of comprehensive value chains on a product or product group basis

  • Responsible for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Performance (SQDIP) of the Value Stream

  • Drive improvements in OTD and Quality related to each value chain

  • Align with and supervise 5S and standard methodologies in the workplace

  • Continue to develop planning processes and make recommendations on appropriate safety stocks of components, Semi-Finished Goods, and Finished goods.

  • Ensure accurate MRP data (lead times, ROP, SS) for all raw materials in Oracle is maintained.

  • Supervise & evaluate material utilization and scrap.

  • Demonstrate understanding of electronic theory and mechanical aptitude to build, troubleshoot, and/or repair instrumentation and components

  • Oversee complex circuit board repairs that may include soldering, wiring, replacement of inoperative electrical and/or mechanical parts

  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations including wearing all required PPE

Education, Background and Qualification Requirements:

  • 2-year technical degree or 5+ years of related work experience

  • Experience in Oracle, or a similar ERP or MRP program

  • Demonstrated working level of mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to read and interpret advanced drawings, schematic and wiring diagrams

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of and ability to solder

  • Teaching or instructional training experience preferred

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a customer service-related field preferred

  • Experience with lean management tools preferred

  • Background in technical writing preferred
