The Network DevOps Engineer is responsible for supporting, implementing and securing the AWS network products which includes but not limited to VPC, Transit gateways, Route 53, ACM, ELB’s, AWS WAF, etc. The Network DevOps Engineer will provide support and implement multiple projects in the AWS Network domain and will be responsible for delivering the projects based on timelines. The Network DevOps Engineer will also attend and expand his skillset by continuous learning and will require to sometimes work on an on-call schedule.
This position is part of the Infrastructure and Operations group where we aim to deliver consistent, scalable, and reliable services to our end users and external customers. The network team within the infrastructure and operations organization is responsible for providing reliable network services and keep innovating on behalf of the end users and various business units.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Design and configure VPC, VPC endpoints, DHCP options sets, Prefix lists, Network ACL’s, Security groups, DNS firewall, AWS VPN, Transit gateways, Route 53, ACM, ELB’s, AWS WAF network products and make sure that build is as per the design.
Deploy AWS services in an automated way using CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS service catalog and/or Ansible.
Interact with a diverse client base and work collaboratively with others, learn and support new deployments and technologies, automate and improve processes and fix problems as they arise.
Configure & orchestrate based on best practices, documentation and business use cases.
Utilize Jira and ticketing tools to track the Network related tasks. Understand and ensure the tasks are performed in accordance with audit & compliance policies.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
3+ years of proven experience in an AWS network engineer role, designing, managing and building a complex network.
Support, implement and develop system architecture. Design, and develop AWS Network products (VPC, VPC endpoints, DHCP options sets, Prefix lists, Network ACL’s, Security groups, DNS firewall, AWS VPN, Transit gateways, Route 53, ACM, ELB’s, AWS WAF, Direct connect, etc).
Utilize json and yaml/Python scripts to deploy and automate AWS network services.
Strong experience with AWS network services understanding.
Strong ability and desire to learn new technologies and capability to drive innovation are absolute must. You must be motivated, driven and a team player.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Automation and scripting experience.
AWS Private CA experience.
