In order to strengthen our team we are looking for HR Generalist to support the HR team as well as the business in all HR related tasks such as recruitment, systems (Workday, Taleo, Figgo), employment, HR Statutory compliance, Monthly Returns , Annual Medical Check up for associates , insurance and other HR tasks. This position will be located in Cepheid Manufacturing Plant Bengaluru.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The position is required to be a team player in highly demanding Supply Chain Org in a medical device and/or molecular in-vitro diagnostic company, responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Supply Chain Operations from Raw material, Planning, Procurement, Logistics and Delivery to Customers.

Manges the complete Operations of IVD Kitting plant including Reagent manufacturing at supplier. Effective and timely co-ordination with external and internal teams to drive operational deliverables. The role is expected to communicate effectively in a matrix environment, use best practice to analyze and solve problems. Manages the regular operations and transition of new products from pilot production to volume production. Reporting and Management of E&O, PPV, OTD, and Quality issues.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role is split into 2 responsibilities:

Management of IVD Kitting Operation:

  • Manages the complete Supply Chain Operations for Kitting of IVD products at plant while also ensuring supply of key components/reagents with intercompany and external suppliers.

  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines (Quality, Production, Finance) to ensure meeting required operational deliverables.

  • Establishes and maintains supply system as assigned to ensure uninterrupted supply of required materials.

  • Define, measure and communicate project progress to leadership functions.

  • Makes independent decisions with minimal guidance to support ongoing material supply including long-term contracts.

  • Teams with Planning and Procurement to determine appropriate amount of inventory to support production and manage risk.

  • Monitors supplier performance holds supplier accountable for performance levels.

  • Takes part in Regular Business Reviews with key suppliers; works with the cross-functional team to establish agenda and compile performance data and analyze against established service level agreements

  • Work collaboratively with supply chain and engineering stakeholders; develop supplier selection process for piece parts or outsourced assemblies and identify supply chain risks supporting sourcing decisions.

  • Actively engages with operations team and provides a high level of responsiveness and communication as it pertains to supply chain needs

  • Drives Daily Management & Visual Management to ensure tracking of all daily tasks with the plant team.

  • Ensuring all processes within the plant are maintained under the CDSCO guidelines.

  • Track validity of all relevant Factory and Pollution Licenses and ensure engaging the relevant teams to get all compliances on track.

Management of Manufacturing Partner (Contract Manufacturer):

  • Leads and owns the overall “Supplier Relationship Management” with Manufacturing Partner /Contract Manufacturer (CM).

  • Understanding of manufacturing methods, Processes, material planning and costing model at Manufacturing partner.

  • Works collaboratively with CM to drive cost savings opportunities – PPV, VAVE and Localization initiatives.

  • Closely monitor supplier Inventory and E&O and report to management in weekly/monthly basis.

  • Ensure trainings and best practice to CM’s thru Danaher Business Tools and drive Operational Excellence at Manufacturing Partner.

  • Leads negotiations and manages the maintenance of agreements with Manufacturing Partners (CM) and manage the business relationships between Cepheid and the supply base.

  • Co-ordinates and assigns tasks to key Local/Global functions to ensure Change Management activities.

  • Assists with action plans, root cause and countermeasures for objectives.

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

  • Proactively request for trainings that are required to improve the existing job performance or as a part of development plan.

  • Drives Danaher Business Systems (DBS) culture with Manufacturing partners

  • Training and mentoring teams on regular basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience (in years):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in Supply Chain Management

  • 5 years SCM Operations program management experience

  • 3 years’ experience in Medical Regulated Industry

Knowledge and skills:

  • Supply Chain Operation Program Management experience in Medical Industry.

  • Adept at managing Local and Global communications.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Power Point, Agile, and SAP

  • Ability to read and interpret product Bill of Materials (BOM's)

  • Must be a self-starter and be able to operate independent of day to day supervision

  • Direct experience leading cross-functional teams

  • Self-starter with the ability to adapt, critical thinking skills, and problem solve under pressure

  • Ability to understand and Negotiate Contract/Supply Agreement Negotiations

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Excellent negotiation skills required, based upon a solid professional ethical foundation.

  • Supporting new business proposals / opportunities with supplier technological inputs / information.

  • Strong analytical skills to support / drive business decisions and performance.

  • A self-motivated, dynamic, systems thinking professional with the ability to organize and plan to deliver the required business goals and objectives.

  • Must be able to professionally interact with internal and external contacts at all levels.

  • Ability to facilitate and effectively hold meetings and training sessions as required.

  • Travel as required

Physical requirements/abilities:

  • Must be able to work at manufacturing sites (brown field & green field sites)

  • Domestic and International travel as required

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • SCM / Project Management Certifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Med-Tech industry in India.

  • Valid US Visa

  • SAP experience
