Job Summary:

We are currently hiring a Production Flow Specialist Supervisor. This position is part of the Supply Chain organization and is located onsite in Fargo, ND . At Aldevron, we combine best-in-class products and service with the ideal operating environment to lay the groundwork for vital new discoveries worldwide. The Production Flow Specialist will be responsible for keeping materials and paperwork needed to perform an operation in stock at the point of use in assigned production areas. This position will also be accountable for the general organization of material in their assigned area and monitor ERP data to highlight possible issues, material shortage, and impact to the production areas.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform replenishment of materials to the Manufacturing Suite as needed

  • Ensure all agreements concerning moving and the supply of materials are observed

  • Ensure that required parts are always available at the agreed place and time

  • Prepare, communicate and execute a plan to effectively provide material and any required paperwork needed to run the next job in queue for assigned work centers

  • Coordinate with Planners to ensure that the correct jobs are being prepared for each work center

  • Organize incoming and outgoing parts in your assigned area while maintaining organization and consistency throughout the department

  • Manage inventory levels and accuracy in the manufacturing system through the monitoring of physical inventory counts and inventory transactions that affect the assigned value stream/cell

  • Perform cycle counts and works with Inventory Analyst to have adjustments made to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained

  • Ensure Level 2 cleaning for certain incoming and outgoing parts prior to entering the sterile production environment

  • Assist in additional manufacturing tasks such as autoclave, filter testing, buffer dispensing etc.

  • Responsible for order reconciliation for warehouse delivered materials

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High School Diploma required or equivalent GED

  • 5 years previous experience in materials handling or similar role

  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time

    Key attributes and skills desired:

  • Competent computer skills

  • High attention to detail skills

  • Creative problem-solving skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/ERP systems preferred

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting required, preferably in a similar role working with material flow of production

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Ability to make recommendations and effectively participate in the implementation of plant policies and procedures

    Physical Requirements:

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and use arms, hands and fingers for various activities. This position may stand or remain sedentary for long periods of time. This position routinely works with large pieces of equipment
