We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Director of Alliance Partnering to join HemoCue in the medical device industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic partnerships and alliances that drive inorganic business growth and innovation in medical technology and healthcare solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the medical device market, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven track record of successful partnership execution. The successful candidate will be part of the top management team and report to the President of HemoCue.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute a comprehensive alliance strategy aligned with the company's business goals and objectives within the medical device sector.
Identify and evaluate potential partners, including OEM partners, product carve-outs, research institutions, and technology companies that align with our strategic priorities.
Partnership Management:
Build and nurture strong relationships with key partners to ensure mutual success in the development, distribution and commercialization of medical devices.
Negotiate and structure partnership agreements, including terms, conditions, and performance metrics, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, product development, regulatory affairs, and legal teams, to ensure alignment and execution of partnership initiatives.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to maximize the value of partnerships and accelerate time-to-market for new products.
Performance Monitoring:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and impact of partnerships.
Conduct regular reviews and provide detailed reports to senior management on partnership performance and outcomes, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
Market Analysis:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities in the medical device market.
Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team based on market analysis and partner feedback.
Leadership:
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship within the alliance team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or related roles within the medical device/pharmaceutical industry, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership position.
Proven track record of successfully managing and growing strategic partnerships.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Consultant background.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
In-depth knowledge of medical device regulations, compliance requirements, and market dynamics.
Experience in working with global partners and navigating complex regulatory environments is highly desirable.
The salary range for this role is $145,500 - $269,300. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
