We are looking for a Product Sales Specialist - Immunohistochemistry Instruments to help us develop and execute a successful sales strategy for rapid revenue growth and market share expansion in the assigned region. You will work across territories to drive new business in competitive accounts and exceed customer expectations.

All the responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual product sales goals set for the territory

  • Work in coordination with local team

  • Maintain accurate and timely prospect and customer data in SFDC

  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance

  • Maintain accurate and timely account strategy and opportunity planning information in SFDC

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

  • BA/BS Degree with minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience OR equivalent work experience (minimum 7 years).

  • Prior capital sales experience

  • Contract negotiation/high level selling experience or selling in a matrixed environment

  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Excellent selling/presentation skills, relationship building, negotiating, closing and account management skills

  • Ability to analyze situations, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

  • Capacity for strategic thinking/planning as well as tactical implementation

  • Ability to build and expand relationships and networks within accounts

  • Seek customer feedback to verify satisfaction and uncover hidden issues/problems

  • Experience leading without authority

  • Demonstrated ability to be goal-oriented and results driven

  • Ability to comprehend scientific applications/markets

Desired Education, Experience, Skills

  • Degree in Life Sciences or Master’s Degree in Business/MBA preferred

  • Diagnostics, Life Science and/or Pathology experience preferred

Travel:

  • 50-75%

  • Must Possess a valid Driver’s license.

  • Ability to travel overnight for territory coverage (if applicable) and/or for company meetings

Internal Relationships:

  • Reports directly to Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with sales counterparts

External Relationships:

  • Maintain relationships with all key stakeholders at all accounts with in territory

  • Participate in sales meetings and national and local trade shows as appropriate and authorized
