The Senior Consultant is a billable resource on the Global Professional Services (GPS) team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that IDBS customer happiness is maximized in relation to use and deployment of IDBS’s cloud-based software by providing consulting, training and technical services support.
Provide product and project delivery following a set project plan and in line with a Statement of Work (SOW) document
Engage with customers, understand what they want to do, and implement those requirements in IDBS products
Coordinate activities with project managers and customers
Provide mentorship and support to junior staff
Produce accurate estimates for creation of SOW documents
Meet or exceed customer expectations throughout the project delivery process
Capture, interpret, and report on customer requirements and documentation
Provide application testing for new and existing product features
Understand and adhere to IDBS Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Agile working methodologies in all project delivery activities
Establish business cases on behalf of customer improvement requests
Perform business analysis consulting
Travel when needed to perform role, with an expectation of about 30% travel with flexibility to support the customer
Bachelors level qualification, or equivalent in a life sciences, engineering, computer science, or similar scientific and/or technical subject area plus a minimum of 2 years applicable experience
Proven software skills/aptitude with Microsoft Office experience
Experience with programming tools and Oracle (administration and coding) preferred
Flexible and willing to work within constantly evolving priorities
Collect, interpret, and/or analyze sophisticated data and information
Excellent commercial astuteness
Successful delivery of large, complex projects
