We are looking for a Senior Manager, Licensing & New Ventures to work closely with the Integrated Process Development Leader building effective partnerships to deliver the next generation of process development (PD) tools. What you’ll do

  • Lead identification, evaluation, cultivation, and management of internal and external partnerships, working closely with Open Innovation and Licensing leaders in Cytiva and Danaher

  • Build and manage internal partner networks to ensure cross-functional groups are aligned to shared vision in delivery of a next generation process development ecosystem

  • Actively develop external partnerships with key opinion leaders and open innovation allies, working towards mutually beneficial relationships which progress the integrated PD strategy

  • Manage and continuously improve partner management within the integrated PD program Support cross-functional due diligence efforts and apply understanding of technical, legal, financial and market dynamics which have bearing on final agreements

  • Monitor technical and market trends within the industry, work within the program and across related Cytiva businesses to identify new opportunities and enhance business ventures.

  • Apply Danaher Business Systems (DBS) continuous improvement tools across all functions to assist problem solving, alignment, speed to market, and overall efficacy.

  • Travel: as needed; 20%

Who you are

  • BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical specialty; MBA preferred

  • Experience with Life Science development, consumables supply, instrumentation, digital solutions, and/or services industry preferred with understanding of the market dynamics and competitive landscape

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with leadership to drive strategy into the business, mobilizing teams and organizations to deliver the vision

  • Accomplished communicator, able to inform and influence senior level management, executives, key clients, and stakeholders at all levels

  • Capability to cultivate productive networks of appropriate external contacts and key opinion leaders (industrial and academic) to assist in projects and overall strategy

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including a metrics-driven approach to decision making, proven track record of critical thinking, business insight and execution for results

  • Completer/finisher mentality, creative and intellectually curious with a strong work ethic; able to accelerate delivery of solutions in a fast-growing environment
