Think Radiometer./ / / Mechanical Design Engineer in Radiometer’s New Instrument Development (NID) You join a team of highly skilled engineers with specialties within Chemistry, Electronics, Usability and Software. The mechanical team is responsible for development of new blood gas analyzers from concept to market introduction including Design Control documentation that meets regulatory and internal demands.

In NID, you developing mechanical modules/instruments for present and future generations of blood gas analyzers. Together with your colleagues in R&D and our stakeholders (Production, QA, RA and Service), you ensure cross-functional alignment towards robust design, design control and project executing.

This position could be ideal for you if you enjoy hands-on design and at the same time acknowledge the documentations task that are related to developing medical device throughout the development phase from idea to production.

Your responsibilities include: •Develop, verify and design transfer of mechanical modules and instruments according to requirements. •Do the design control documentation according to regulation and RMED QMS. •Challenge work processes, strategies and standards within Design Control and ensure cross-functional alignment. •Mechanical lead with responsible for mechanical planning, executing and design.

The preferred candidate holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar and is available for travelling 5-10 days a year. Furthermore, we believe minimum five years of experience with some or most of the following will enhance your chances of success in the job:

•Medical device development with cross functional project execution teams •Executing all phases of development from design input to design output (Design control) •Mechanical design covering: •Molded parts (plast and aluminum) •Tolerance chain analyzes, robust design, error budget, FMEA and root cause investigation •3D and 2D cad (Creo) •System architecture •Project managements •Analyzing results and presenting findings and solutions at technical design reviews to ensure design robustness, efficiency, future maintainability and supportability •Communicate with technical and product management on technical matters
