Business Planning * Collects, analyses, and interprets business data and uses the information appropriately to maintain and grow the business and anticipate new opportunities. * Prepares product line group and is responsible for the development of the overall marketing planning process. * Establishes pricing and makes distribution channel decisions. Identifies organization capabilities are aligned with the business plans and sales objectives. * Evaluates, creates and executes effective marketing tools/plans. * Develops budgets/forecasts in support of the plans. * Develops & utilizes feedback and tracking mechanisms and responds accordingly. * Provide oversight and direction for business planning for staff. * Key contributor to the global strategic planning process and responsible for implementation of strategic initiatives defined in the same.
Market Intelligence * Understand market data, trends, customer attitudes and behaviours customer’s business environment and the competitive landscape to maximize current & future opportunities. * Utilize market intelligence in market planning and decision-making and product positioning. * Identifies need for market intelligence, engages in market research (primary or secondary); analyses and communicates results. * Recommends product improvements, and evaluates new product designs for market acceptability and considers new user application of existing product design.
Channel/Segment Positioning * Understands positioning strategies; create implements and manages channel/segment positioning for competitive advantage. * Identify key drivers necessary to enhance value. * Understands, defines and communicates the value proposition. * Integrate the value proposition in all initiatives. * Work closely with third party distributors and tracks marketing programs.
Marketing Management * Analyses, develops, implements and monitors marketing programs successfully to achieve goals. * Plans & implements programs that meet growth expectations. * Execute marketing plans within budget. * Develops and tracks forecasts/budgets against plans and identifies areas for mid-course corrections. * Expected to support growth through Digital Marketing (including Transformative Marketing), and effective Funnel Management. People Management * Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees * Developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. * Builds and develops marketing team setting performance and development standards that promote grow for team and toward organizational strategy * Manage all people processes continually in areas of organizational talent, succession, compensation, performance, development, training, and engagement
a) Position Specific Competencies / Experience * 4 plus years of in-vitro diagnostics (product specific) marketing experience required, preferably in Point of Care Testing. Experience with New Product Launch required. * Strong capacity to do tactical and strategic work. * 5 years in management of direct reports * Proven track record of successful business planning and execution required. * Experience managing a marketing team and effective interaction with sales is required.
b) Education · Minimum BS in Business with focus on Marketing; MBA preferred
c) Language · English**
d) Office technology * Technologically-savvy, including Internet and software programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and use of internet marketing skills is a plus. e) Travel (required estimated 30% of time)
