The Manager, Market Research and Competitive Analysis role is ideal for a multi-dexterous marketing professional keen on driving market and competitive insights into tactical actions by R&D, Marketing and Commercial organizations. This position contributes to Global Strategy and Marketing Initiatives group in development and execution of Beckman Coulter Strategic Plan and tactical product and commercial initiatives world-wide. Essential Functions: * In collaboration with L1, BUs and Commercial Organizations, plans and executes Market Research and VOC activities for strategic, product and innovation initiatives. Acts as a “Center of Excellence” as well as a depository and curator of the Market Research and VOC data. Manages Market Research vendors. * Develops world-wide competitive intelligence process and tracking tools, establishes and synthesizes competitive insights. Performs regular competitive reviews with Marketing, BU and Commercial teams, germinates implementation of competitive strategies and sales tools. Disseminates up-to-date information and insights to Commercial teams, Business Units and Company Leadership. * Acts as a project manager in support of implementation and progress tracking for Global PD and Marketing initiatives.

Qualification
Education and Experience: * B.S. in Medical Technology, Life Sciences, or Engineering, or Business with 9 years’ experience or Graduate-level degree in business administration (MBA) with 7 years’ experience. * Demonstrated history of success in implementation of Market Research, VOC and Competitive Analysis projects and processes. * Working knowledge of the N. America diagnostics market and experience with the sales cycle for capital equipment (instruments, reagents, service, interfaces, automation). * Understanding of commercialization practices and processes in In-Vitro Diagnostics, Medical Devices, or Pharma industries * Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, market segmentation and competitive tools * High energy, “roll-up-their-sleeves” self-starter with bias for action and sense of urgency. Emotional maturity and ability to create change in rapidly evolving environment. * Strong interpersonal skills and communications style
